In counselling what is the difference between loss and endings?

Answer:
Loss is something you have had no control over therefore you have to accept it as part of you. It will always stay with you through life you have to deal with it, accept you had no control over it , whilst moving forward in life.

Ending is to do with things that have perhaps been created by choices you have made. If you are still living your life in the shadow of these decisions then you have to face them head on, take any good from it and close the book on them and not drag yourself back there as it will do no good.
I believe that the difference between loss and ending is that in endings you usually go into a beginning. As to in loss you DO NOT get to proceed into a beginning. You may know that beginnings usually start off good, but it is up to you to decide if they remain like that or go astray! Someting to think about or consider.

Hey and just look at the definitions
loss-fact of no longer having something.
ending-final part of something.

in ending it says the final part of SOMETHING not EVERYTHING!
here's my simplified answer:

With a loss, you get no closure and the issue may stay with you which means a lot of dwelling on the "what if's"

With an ending there is closure. One way or another, there is a resolution.
