Is this something you do???
Answer:
Usually after much research and/or thought on the subject in question. If you feel strongly about something, even the meekest person will speak up. If it's something I feel or think, I usually begin with "I think.." or "I feel.." If I read up on the subject, I'll refer to the sources to back my side of the issue. I don't like it when some people state opinion as fact, such as a statement that begins with "Women are this" or "Men are that.." It should be "In my opinion, women generally.. " or "I have observed that some men.." And I have been known to bow to the expertise of others and even change my opinions due to persuasive arguments from the opposition.
no why
Yes, bluntly.
yes.. if i believe something.. then i stick by it.. if i am not sure or dont know.. then i am open minded..
When I do that my husband says I am being myself. I do try to be polite, though and most of the time I succeed. My friends have always told me that when they really want to know something they ask me because I will tell the truth OR change the subject quickly.
Quite a lot, but am working on changing that, too.
Actually, I'm learning to keep my mouth shut.
Yes.
No, not really. My mind is neither simple nor clear to be honest. As far as being direct in my opinions, it depends on the situation and circumstances. I would say I definitely express my honest opinions, however, they are not always black & white. There's a time and a place when some things are better left unsaid.
No, I try to be diplomatic. Too much bluntness without diplomacy or tact and you can come across as negative, critical, and/or rude. But I believe it also depends on the subject and who I'm speaking to. I'm more likely to be diplomatic if it involves something personal such as someone asking how they look unless I know the person very, very well.
