I have a problem where when it comes time for me to write down numbers I somehow get them mixed up. For example when I take a message for my boss she usually has to come back to me and say “hey this is the wrong number” and I’m so embarrassed. With telephone #s I usually mixed up the last 2 numbers like if someone leaves a number and it is 774-555-8947 I’ll end up writing something like 774-555-9447. Then in my math class I know how to do the problems but I always get the wrong answer. I discovered that is because I write the numbers wrong or reverse the number or the signs. Is this a sign of dyscalculia? Oh and I mess numbers up even if I see them so it affects me visually as well as vocally.
Answer:
Not neccesarily, you could have dyspraxia, dyslexia, or maybe even ADD.
No, I don't believe it's dyscalculia. But, you should still go see your doctor.
