Why is it someone always wants to kill your dreams?

I mean is it me or does it seem like there is always someone out there who will do whatever they can to prevent you from getting it? Why can't people do something to help instead of hinder. The would would be MUCH better off that way.

there are always going to be people that want to put other people down. if i had to think of a cause for that, i'd just say that they don't have any confidence in themselves so they have to convince other people they aren't worthy. but don't let that keep you from doing what you want in life. in life, the only person you really have is yourself in the end. and if you want something, all you have to do is go after it.
I have a friend who kills himself in his dreams. I don't know why people are always killed in their dreams but sometimes it can be pretty weird.
Because someone killed theirs...
they are miserable, bitter people who dont want to see someone else going farther in life than they have
