What is a good idea for a gift for someone that volunteers as a subject for a psychological report?
I want to give, as a token of gratitude, something to this young female and to these two children, a 9 year old boy and a 7 year old girl, who will help me prepare a psychological report posing as subjects. They will be asked to perform several psychological tests as well as to fill out questionnaires and forms with intimate and maybe critical personal information. They are assured that this information will be kept confidential although it will be supervised, and I will make sure that this report actually ends up with them.
Answer:
I had to do this when I first started grad school. I administered a lengthy cognitive test to a 9 year old and had to write a report. Before the test, I did a quick interview and discovered that the little girl really liked art, so I got her a little art case with crayons, pencils, paints, and pastels. So, maybe you can ask the boy and girl what they like and what their hobbies are. It will help you build rapport and you'll get some gift ideas too.
I have a terrific idea that will be great for both the girls and boys. At least I think it's a terrific idea.
Do a theme gift:
Example:
Fill a popcorn container, similar to the one pictured on the website below, fill with packaged popcorn, mints, goodies galore whatever you can think of and tickets to a local theater. Wrap with clear plastic wrap with a bow and curling ribbon on top.
Or something similar to that :)
Kids love it and it looks so cute too.
Find out what they like.
Ask their Mother what they like. As for the Mom a gift certificate might be nice.
Find out what there interest is...and buy them tickets to something related, that they can all go to and enjoy. And be sure to add a thank you card to that...and add a special note to each of them ...in your hand writing.
