if you kept on thinking about negative thoughts, try to answer them back with positive ones. talking balk (silently) to your mind may sound weird, but give it a try and you'll see a difference. it's like your resisting a force within you that is leading you to nowhere but feelings of devastation. if you think of your weaknesses such as "i'm ugly" answer back with "no, i am not," then mention to yourself your own assets. maybe you could list all your strengths in a notebook so whenever negative thoughts about yourself strike you, you can refer to your list. if bad memories recurr to you through flashbacks try saying to yourself "those are past events, it cannot hurt me now." things like that will remarkably help you. just keep on thinking comforting words and you will heal from the troubles of your life. you see, if you have the will, you can help yourself become a mentally strong person.
Take charge of your mind, it is a good servant but a bad master.
