Why Is It?

Why is it when people come on here and ask why they are hearing voices and seeing things that are not there, they never believe me or anyone else when it is suggested that they have schizophrenia and that they need to get help?

Also, why do people tell them that it is normal?

Answer:
People don't want to believe they are crazy. It scares them enough to avoid getting help.

People telling them it is normal do that because of insensitivity.
Because some people are uneducated/close minded and don't know any better.
Because although some people are telling the truth about it, hearing voices is so steriotypically "crazy" that many people post it as a joke or something, so people assume it is and either don't believe it or say t's noral to "play along".
Because people are afraid of the truth. Seeing people and hearing voices when it isnt for real is CLEARLY SCHIZOPHRENIC! Those people could really use some medical help. I pity them.
It isn't always schizophrenia, as sleep deprivation can also cause this. As can drugs
