Sex/masturbation?

For many people, sex/masturbation is a subject rather less be talked about. But sincr both are only from human nature and some people actually consider sex to be beutiful, yet why is it so outragiously hard to disucss? Why do some religions even request to have it looked down upon, but really, why is the discussion of sex/masturbation and related things usually shuned and not easy to discuss amung peers?

Answer:
Religion frowns upon masturbation because sex is seen as a means for procreation only, so they feel when you are masturbating you are having a form of sex by yourself and it serves no purpose and is disrespectful to God.

Outside of religion people do not want to discuss it because it was not talked about with them growing up. It's something that is kept like a secret or something one should be ashamed of. It starts when children are toddlers and they are yelled at for constantly having their hands in their pants. Not understanding why, they grow up associating it will be bad.

Basically it is ignorance that keeps people from being able to discuss it.
Because religions are bogus
Maybe because they are ashamed. Some people find it very personal.
