Have you experienced altered states of counsciousness?
How did you feel?
Answer:
Yes, it was alcohol, weed, and sleep that triggered the experience. They brought on a range of different feelings.
Maybe Im not understanding what you mean by altered states of conciousness? Details?
Once I was driving and I think I experienced something like what you are describing. It was almost as if everything slowed way down and I was above my truck looking down and I was not afraid or anything. I was very relaxed and in total control of my thoughts and actions. And for a while it was like I sort of blacked-out or something, but again, I still felt like I was safe and I was in total control of the situation. There was no fear or anxiety involved at all, to the contrary I was extremely relaxed. And then, like a bolt of lightning everything zoomed into fast forward. I had to grab my steering wheel and adjust to the speed I was traveling. It was like waking up from a nap, but instead of being in bed I was traveling 60 mph behind the wheel of a truck. It took me a couple of minutes to catch my breath. David.
It seems to a joke, but being drowsy is also an altered state (as it is already going into Phase 1 of sleeping, I think). It just came out from stress and lack of sleep. I just felt so lightheaded and I can't seem to think clearly...
