What are the possible reasons for a man or a women to be pessimistic and aloof in their life.?

There are hard times for people. They handle them differently. There are those who learn from past errors and try not to repeat them. In contrast, there are people who want a better life yet don't want to change it. These people can't stand to see a person perservere---in my case especially when the person is handicapped in some way. You know the saying: "Misery loves company". It is prevalent that some people want something for nothing.. When they encounter people doing for themselves, they down the person. Some members of my race feel that paying bills on time and continuing education after high school is white because they only want to self-destruct.
Their life sucks
Mainly because they are unhappy.
