How we have to know about the suitable job for ourself that fulfill our soul and mind?

Viktor Frankl and other survivors of the Nazi concentration camps have pointed out that even in that horrible deprivation and dehumanization, there were deep and powerful discussions about life and faith, people organized classes and taught each other what they new. This was also the experience of presidential candidate John McCain when he was imprisoned for years during the Vietnam War.
Some people -- like me, and it sounds like you -- crave, NEED, to do work for money that also feels engaging and fulfilling. I am 45, and am miserable, feeling that I am giving up 8 hours a day so I can survive the other 16. I haven't found that job yet, still don't know what it may be. That's just the way some people are hardwired.
I know this is not much advice, just support, but I hope you find yours!
Realistically what you want is a job that will provide food and shelter for you and your family for the rest of your life.
All talk about fulfilling soul and mind is kind of naive.
still clueless - supposedly you meditate and the answer comes to you, followed by several synchronistic events to prove it to you.
okay...like, only 70% of americans don't want to shoot themselves in the head when they have to get up to go to their jobs on monday morning. why do people do it? we have to live. we have to provide for ourselves and our families. someone has to be the trash collector in order for things to function properly.
About any job can be fulfilling, especially if you don't have one.
