Is there a way to get out of gym class?
-Back when I was 6 I used to pretend I had to use the restroom just so they'd leave without me.
When I was a freshmen in highschool p.e was absolutely horrible.
After they found out i was useless at sports, they started picking me last for teams, making fun of me, and stuff.
You have no idea how embarrassed i would get when i couldn't shoot a basket while everyone else could.
I really don't want to go through that again.
And i'm starting a new school,
so i figured maybe i can find a way out of it.
I actually have this thing where if I get too hot i'll pass out so i'm thinking i could get my doctor to write me a note so i'll never have to play/ join in.
Is there any other ways?
and what does a student do when he/she doesn't attend gym?
Do they go to studyhall or take up another class?
Answer:
Tell the same thing you're telling me to your teacher or principal. You're not comfortable with gym and it is causing you physical problems; I'd call that a legitimate reason.
If they are competent and caring as they are supposed to be, then they will help you and either allow you to opt out or arrange for you to only do classes that you are comfortable with.
ditch it
colleges dont care about your PE
or get a doctors excuse
ya dig
Do you have to do it? Just change classes.
Usually Its statelaw that you have to take P.E to get your Diploma. Only way to get out of gym is having a illness or being pregnant lol.
Chances are - it won't happen again.
if you do something - like drop the ball - laugh it off.
Exersize is important. It'll help you get athletic. Will help you lose weight if that's an issue..
umm, maybe join classes outside of your school to learn. So in lessons - you aren't that bad
but you are gona miss outon all the fun! as for the passing out, just drink some Gatorade and you'll be fine, so there is no excuse to skip gym class!
Even if I don't know a good answer for this question, I could relate very well with you. I was never physically good as others (at least my academics make up for it) and I've hated P.E. since I was little. If I was in your place I would have always ditched it.
Every single one of my girlfriends in high school who did this is dead now. They chose the easy way out and ended up with the quick way out. They all four died of heart attacks in their forties. Every single one of my girlfriends in highschool who were active in gym and sports, are climbing mountains and skydiving these days when they visit me.
When I was a kid I was a real klutz. I hated PE and was always picked last for games and made fun of. I found out that modern dance was one of the easier classes because it wasn't an "exact science". I couldn't get blamed for loosing the game or picked last any more.
If you have a medical problem, it should be checked out. Teachers aren't suppose to let the kids get so hot and dehydrated that they pass out.
The only rub about rest-PE is that you get more out of shape and may gain weight. I have a daughter and I noticed that when she went from pre-school to kindergarten, she got chubby. It has gotten worse now that they only have PE twice a week in our state and she only gets 1 recess since she is in the 4th grade. This year she just got fatter along with about half of the other girls in her class!
So you need to find something that you can do that isn't competitive. If they have some kind of dance, try it.
