I'm in depression...help me out please?

Ok, every day I wake up and think that today I'm going to do something creative, something that can give result, and something that will make me feel that I'm keeping busy. But I'm stuck, I can't think of anything to do, any suggestions?

Yes of course you can do. Theres a Chinese saying, a long journey starts with a single step. Perhaps you want to do it all at once.

i realise with people its a 1 or 0 attitude. I do it all or nothing at all. Theres a lot in between 1 and 0. Just do what you feel like doing.

I started beading.. making jewelry. its fun, time consuming and you can really be creative.
You need some hobbies or a job either way you need something to pass the time.
find something that you know you will enjoy doing..honey your not depressed your just confused..let me know if i can help in anyway..

Your not alone, everyone feels like that sometimes I think, I know that I do. You have to get up and get moving, when you feel like taking a vacation from life. I ALWAYS have to have something to look forward to...like a vacation, get together, special event, holiday. Have it get you excited and looking forward to the future, that's what workds for me.
Get stoned and listen to silly, cheery, Synth-pop music and go driving around 90 mph on the Interstate with the music blasting out. Eats lots of junk food and chocolate icecream bars while driving.
Well, when you´re in depression, you might feel that way. What you need to do is not only think of what you need to do, you need to go outside and get some fresh air. Maybe do something with your friends, do things that you enjoy doing! Live life the fun way!!
Organization of some kind, closet, dresser or desk.
Try doing craft work that will be beneficial to your home: painting, yard work, or building something.
Maybe even doing volunteer work some where: shelter, elderly home, school, etc. It may be fun and at the end you can feel you have done something that others appreciate.
Stop waiting for divine inspiration or the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Read a book. Mow the lawn.

You don't need to change the world in one stroke. Pick up some trash outside your front door.

If you are trying to write, simply start writing and save everything. Don't necessarily make a story or worry about form. Write whatever comes to mind. Take a day off from writing, then come back and read over what you wrote.

You might just be trying too hard.

Whatever you do, get out of the house at least a couple of hours a day and make a point to eat something and drink water. Depression feeds itself by starving you. Take charge of your mind. Nobody else can do it for you.

BTW: Ignore the idiots who say you should use weed, antidepressants or other chemicals to mess with your head. Don't train yourself to depend on a pill for your happiness. You are stronger than that.
Sorry, but you are not depressed! If you were you would not wake up with any positive thought in your head- believe me, I know. Go for a good long walk, and take up an interest like bird watching!

this is really no reason to feel depressed. maybe you're just having a creative "mind block". i learned about this phase in my psychology 2nd term course i had to take last summer. it just means that, for someone who has a relatively creative side to them, they have a period of time that is without any results. and they will feel like they will never get it together again...kinda sounds like your situation to me. anyways, what i think you should do is focus on your area of expertise and search for something that will inspire you to create a masterpiece. if it is drawing or painting, start looking at the kind of art you enjoy and trying to recreate it in your own way. if its writing or poetry, read great literature or listen to a good musical lyricist for inspiration ... you get the idea right? good luck girl.

you can't think of anything to do because there isn't anything you have, need, or can do to make yourself happy. you cant change your mood through will.

so what would happen if instead you just went along with feeling the depression?

just sit quietly and "watch" your mood, without trying to change or fight by distracting yourself with other things.

you may come to realize that trying to run from your feelings is what is keeping you trapped by them.
