Would it be wrong.?
Answer:
I wouldn't do it, if it was a close blood relation. I wouldn't take such drastic measures as becoming sterile for a "lover."
You SO CAN help who you fall in love with!
I Love my cousins, brothers, nephews and brothers but I wouldn't fall in love with them. There's right, there's wrong and then there's just gross.
Don't do it.
Love is a moveable feast.
Sterility is a finality.
that is just sick
If you feel like you love the person, go ahead and give it a chance. BUT you have think about it, about the consequences that the relationship would bring to you because you are blood related to the person. And if you think, that being with that person don't bring you problems with your family, then go ahead!
PS: I didn't read the Aditional Details lol
Don't, it will give your children birth defects and it's have been proven.
It is a myth that blood relations cause birth defects, unless you marry a brother or sister. Marrying a cousin only negligibly increases the risk of birth defects. It would not be necessary to sterilise one or both parties to this type of marriage, because the chances of having a defective child are virtually the same as if they were not related at all.
When you say "blood related," many people automatically think of brothers and sisters or other close relatives like that, but 3rd cousins are also "blood realated" and it's a completely different story.
Can you clarify your question?
Well, it's very unrecommended, as I believe it is a sin in Catholic beliefs. I'm not so sure about birth defects, but it is very... wrong to do so...
Since you haven't stated the degree of relationship it's kind of hard to really answer your question if you're to take the part out about having children. Why would one want to have an intimate relationship with a blood relative? My daughter has a cousin that is her fith cousin and for a while they thought that they might have a realtionship and both by law and by her releigion it could be done because they were passed third cousins. When they really thought about it they realized that they would be brining sixth and seventh cousins into the world and that they would be the same people. I think that there was a reason that people came up with the incest laws even indpendent of the factor of birth defects. Even in countries that are really poor and the whole family has to eat sleep and do what ever else in one room they have laws against incest. Even though incest is in the Bible it's not something that most people find acceptable. And for those who read the Bible and wonder what I'm talking about don't forget Adam and Eve if they were really the first people than there was no one else to pro-create with but the children that they had for at least the first two generations. The same situation would have had to apply after Noah and the flood since it was onlly his family that survied. And Lot's daughter's got him drunk so that they could sleep with him and have children to pro-create the earth. So there have always been instances of incest but I don't think that many people think that it's a good thing. For one thing it crosses boundries that are set for a reason. Psychologicaly it's very damaging even when the parties are adults.
Truthfully, i am not sure.
I am not shocked by the idea, so it doesn't bother me much.
However, the possibility that such a relationship could begin when one of the 2 people was too young to give truly informed consent bothers me a lot.
