i went through alot in my freshman year and it has put a trmendous affect on me. well im a sophmore and i would like to start a new life and not be sad anymore and i dont want to be scared and i want to stop crying. i want to be happy and put my somewhat sad past behind and be a new person in everyway. like look kind of different and just be happier. can u all help me out because its not easy right now.
Answer:
The reason you feel bad is because your ex mistreated you so that you would stay with him cause he was a bum Be glad that you got away alive and you have your whole life ahead of you
Most of that stuff is because of how you react to your environment. It's optimistic vs. pessimistic. It's as simple as just being whomever you want to be. But just because it's simple doesn't make it easy.
you kinda answered your own question. do what you want. you are the only one who can change you. just get the right mindset. its easy for someone else to say, learn from the past , but dont let it bother you, but that is what you have to do. change your look, but make sure its something you want and are comfortable with. this will all pass with time, unless you wont let it.
One of the best things you can do is find new friends...friends who make you feel good about yourself. Avoid people who make you feel bad about yourself. Move on with confidence and don't look back. I know most young people don't think mom and/or dad are very brilliant, but talk with one of them, or both. You will be surprised how helpful they can be. If that isn't a possibility, talk with an adult that you trust. Sorry to hear about your break up, but if violence was involved, it's the best thing that ever happened to you. Avoid the ex at all costs, and give yourself time before jumping into another relationship. It won't fix anything. Drop out of any relationship at the first sign of violence (mild or otherwise) or verbal abuse. Find new interests, such as clubs, where you can do things you enjoy with other people who also enjoy them. Pamper yourself and learn to love yourself for who you are. Change your hair style, your makeup, and/or your way of dressing. Spend some time each week in a place where you have peace and quiet...like the local library. You will have the summer to create a new, happier you. By next fall, most people will not remember what happened. They have enough problems of their own. I wish you luck.
emotions have to be dealt with... out with the bad but it also needs some good to replace it... all that crying you did must have made room because you seem ready to accept the good... I wrote about how to get rid of the negative and replace it with positive on my blog.. you are welcome to check it out... it has been most useful.. I've gotten a few e-mails saying it helps so maybe you can get some use of it..

You are beautiful, sweet, caring, and a real girl. You remember that!! You can overcome anything and you will overcome all thatr has gone on. You go look in the mirror right now and see what a great person you are. Forgive all that have done you wrong, it's hard but it doesn't mean you have to forget. Our past is part of who we become and we need that (good and bad) to make the changes in life to become better people and to help others. You will overcome and when you do, you will be able to help teen girls get out of bad relationships and help them with your experience. God loves you, I love you, and you love yourself because you know who YOU are and that's what really counts! Now you go out and get you a cute new outfit, fix your hair differently, and make some new friends. You just made one if you ever need me just email me. God Bless you! I'm praying for you to get over this as soon as possible.
