My dad was a classical pianist - he pushed it at me all the time. I liked rock and roll. I am glad that I got the best of both worlds. It really does matter.
It was valuable to me & all of my friends. We could all talk about the new songs or artists. We could play 45 records & think about our latest crushes. And if we saw singing artists on TV or in person (WOW) we could scream our lungs out.

it gave us all something to talk about and it was always very relaxing, to this day i always listen to music just to relax! :) after a long day of work, on the bus- i learned a lot about the kind of music i like as an adolescent..
