Apart from the obvious one (hard on) what other tell tales signs are there that are revealed through body language?

Sorry I can't find my thinking cap but if I could, my body language would tell everything you needed to know.
Hands around someone's throat is usually a sign that they don't like you very much.
Are you referring to how to tell if a guy likes you?
Here are some not so obvious cues:
The head position also says a lot. To show confidence or authority, simply keep your head level. This says, "Take me seriously, my words are important." To show friendliness and interest in what the other person is saying, tilt your head slightly to one side or the other.
Mouth movements are easy clues to what the other person may be feeling. If they purse their lips or twist them, they could be thinking carefully about what you just said, or disagreeing with you, but holding back comments. You can certainly tell when someone is not pleased.
Covering the area below the nose is a sign of lying.
Playing with hair or necklace is a sign of attraction..
Well here is my favorite scenario and tell tale signs.
You invite a person you are interested in to a coffee shop and study what they are wearing. If they are wearing a dress shirt or any other more sophisticated clothing (and dont ussually) you can assume they are also interested. Same can be said if they show up wearing cologne or body spray. Things like hair and make-up also play a huge role.
Also crossing of ones arms shows if someone is either uncomfortable or edgy.
If someone plays with their hair it shows that they are attracted to someone.
And lastly lying is usually evident if one is touching thier upper lip.
Generally I can see how high a person's self esteem is, I can tell what kind of person they are trying to portray and if it is the same on the inside as the outside. I can tell what a person is feeling. I can tell about their culture. I can tell if they are a defensive person or an offensive person. I can see if they are a carefree spirit, controlling, timid. If a person paid close attention there isn't really much you can't see about a person in their body language.
If someone sticks up their middle finger at you then they're trying to say hi.
body language is a part of communication subject in my course and I have done it before...it involves everything...eye contact ( generally eye contact 1.6 sec before you look away), gaze, appearance ( what kinda message you want to send ) , proxemity( how you space yourself from other people), posture, hair...there is always of course stereotyping...hate it...but unfortunatelly thats the way people think and perceive things..same thing could mean different things with different people.

Your body shows in everything you do, for instance, when you cross your arms across your chest (mainly ladies), this makes you appear to be non-approachable, if your sitting in a chair and have your legs crossed at the ankles, this means you have an open mind. If you are holding your hands together on your lap, you are timid or shy. Hands on your hips when you are talking to somebody implies a great outgong personality. How did I do?
if they sit close to you, they like being around you. If they person looks straight in your eyes they feel like you're connecting. If they re keeping their head down, they are shy, withdrawn, depressed or uncomfortable. Bad posture means being put down all the time and lacking self-esteem. Hands on waist means theyre ready to go, set to face the future, and are focused or angry. Holding their head in both palms means focus and intensive thinking. When they bat their lashes at you or stroke their arms/legs means they are romantically interested in you. when the person's head is down and their eyes are twinkling at you that means they feel desire towards you.
im only 14 so i myt b wrong but if a person is sat wid their hands towards dem den they hav got something to hide and if their hand are far from their body they have nothing to hide.
if a person doesnt look u in the eyes and is fidgeting wen their are talkin to u dat means their are probvably lying and are nervous.
