You teach your child good communication skills by talking to them and inter acting with them. You teach your child good social skills by taking them into different social situations and showing them how to act in each situation. The more that your child is exposed to things the more comfortable they will be in social situations, Also having them around a lot of people will help them learn to communicate in order to get their ideas, wants and needs met, with someone besides his/her parents. These are things that have to be done for the child to become comfortable with different social situations, and they will teach the child what communication really means.
do you mean how can it develop in a child who is having problems with this? bc for healthy children, they learn these skills by being around people who are good communicators & have strong social skills.
for kids who are in unhealthy environments, they need to supplement the negatives w/ positive influences such as social clubs, may group therapy, even to move to healthier setting.
