Has anyone ever had vivid cyclical nightmares.?
...where you totally believe you are awake and then you wake up in your dream and go about your day and then something terrorfying happens and you realise you are still in the nightmare and for all your efforts you can't escape. This goes round and round and all the while I have a physical rushing feeling in my ears. SCARY! Anyone else...?
Answer:
This is called lucid dreaming. What you need to do is realise you are dreaming. When this 1st happens it will probably wake you up. After a bit of practise you will be able to control your dream and make it a pleasant one. You will be able to alter everything from changing scenery to who you want to speak to. You can fly, drive swim go into space the possibility's are endless.. If you find your self having a bad dream then you can wake by blinking your eyes fast . Thinking about it and doing it in your dream will wake you. If you want to return to a dream and you are still not totally awake (just about to wake) then you make yourself spin (just imagine spinning) This should return you to a likable dream. Give it a try. Ok to recognise you are dreaming try and read a book in dream . The writing will be hard to read or look at your watch and then look again 1 minute later you will find that lots of time has passed. Hope this helps you out
Ugghh!! I HATE those!
jeez.
at least I'm not alone...lol
might be night terrors, have you ever thought about getting some sleep therapy? That might give you more answers to your questions.
I used to get them all the time. Mine went away with a little age and less stress. There is some truth to the night terror theory. One half of your brain is asleep and the other awake. Its not fun.
No thank God!
My sympathies if this is happening to you. But I would stop taking whatever it is that you taking if it is having this effect on you.
