How do i stop myself from being nervous during a job interview?

any tips? thanks guys!

Answer:
All employers see nervous people for interviews. I applaud you because that means you really care about getting the job. If you have some days in advance to prep yourself have someone who has experience in job interviews that can ask you questions and help mold your answers. If you don't have that type of help I'm sure there is a plethora (extreme excess) of job related questions and answers. That should help. Most people are totally nervous because they don't think they will answer the questions correctly.
Other things that will help...DO NOT drink any coffee or any stimulus soda drinks like Mountain Dew, Coke, etc that will only enhance your bodys response to anxiety. (Don't chew gum during the interview either...baaad) On the way there listen to soft relaxing music. Avoid reviewing any job interview questions that day that will only increase your perspiration. (Do the question/answer game days leading up to the interview.) Wear your most professional outfit that will make you feel good. When you go in pretend they are in their underwear. Better yet in your mind pretend you are actually being hired to see how well of a job THEY do. ;-) Just a side note...Avoid wearing perfume. (Just wear deodorant) The last thing you want is to possibly offend the interviewer. Perhaps your perfume reminded of someone they don't like who wears the same thing. Hope this helps!
Whilst waiting to go in for you interview read the newspaper.
Even if you take nothing in it puts the other candidates off.
Always worked for me.
It's almost impossible not to be nervous, but, here is something that works: PRETEND! Pretend that you are the most confident and least nervous person in the world when you go for the interview, because most people will not be able to tell the difference. You will come off sounding and looking very well - don't overdo it - and this will in turn boost you confidence and you will actually be less nervous in the future. It works.
