What does "HOMEOSTASIS" mean?

Answer:
It refers to the tendency of a system, or a living organism, to regulate itself in such a way that it maintains a stable and constant environment or condition.

For example, the human body strives for homeostasis in temperature. 98.6 degrees is fairly normal for most people, but that can vary by about one degree in either direction (though usually it's more common for it to be lower), and still be normal. When the body's temperature drops too low, people start to shake and their teeth chatter. That is an effort on the part of the body to bring the temperature back up. Similarly, when the body's temperature gets too hot, the body begins to sweat, because that brings the temperature down. (Naturally, there is the exception of running a fever, where the body is fighting a foreign invader, which is a different story.)
ITS A GAY THERMOSTAT
It means something is in equilibrium... that something is balanced.
Hi, Not really sure but is that where someone is afraid to leave their house! Lol

It's when your body is in a state of being normal.
Homeostasis is the property of either an open system or a closed system,[1] especially a living organism, to regulate its internal environment to maintain a stable, constant condition. Multiple dynamic equilibrium adjustments, controlled by interrelated regulation mechanisms, make homeostasis possible. The term was coined in 1932 by Walter Bradford Cannon from the Greek homoios (same, like, resembling) and stasis (to stand, posture).

It means equilibrium. It is frequently used in reference to how our body maintains body temperature of 98.6F and our acidity levels, hormone levels, blood and everything are always at optimum levels
