Public speaking issues?
I suddenly find myself unable to speak in public...at all without getting so nervous I have to leave the room.
I can talk one on one with clients, friends, family etc. I can mingle in a group just fine too. I dont have social anxiety to where I cant have friends or speak well in general. Its just that speaking in front of a group makes me...sick to my stomach.
What do I do?

I used to have chronic social anxiety that manifested itself as a fear of public speaking, which would make me physically ill. During therapy sessions, my counselor would have me work on gradually increasing my comfort zone...I started by talking one-on-one with someone (him), then to people in a social setting (friends and family), then in front of a small group of people (clubs and classes), and finally in front of a large group of people (as valedictorian of my college class)! Although I do experience some anxiety when speaking to people, it's not as bad...my comfort level has been expanded. If it worked for me, it may work for you!

well im in 8th grade right now and every week we have to memorize a poem hard right. but just practice and now when i say the poems in front of my class mates or do something puplic like a sppech ect im not scared so jus practice and you'll be perfect God bless

Practice - make sure that you know what you're talking about and then you won't feel so intimidated. Remember to take time to breathe and don't talk too quickly. For lots of help see the page below and also browse the rest of the site.
