Have you got any Interesting Phobias? Have you had any 'situations' as a result of your phobia?
Invited out to dinner one evening, I was given brussel-sprouts, (overcooked) with an otherwise lovely roast meal. I didn't know the host too well, so I somehow got them all past my gullet, swallowing them whole so that dreadful irony aroma/smell didn't escape from their centre!
The host; seeing that I had polished off the sprouts so rapidly, plopped a huge second helping of the things on my plate.
Finishing them without vomiting was the bravest thing I ever did!

i hate long toe nails i kringe every time i see co workers with long painted nails!
i think i'm obsessed with it if i can't see your skin on top of your foot by the nail it's too long no white none yuckky nail growers!
it hasn't really effected me tho!
i do yell at my co workers and tell them to cut there feet claws and they yell at me telling me to paint my stubs!
Fear of the Dark
ive got the ever popular spider phobia. i was in a meeting last week and there was the biggest deadist spider i think ive ever seen just to my right on the floor, i totally missed all of the first speaker because i was trying to work out if the damn thing was faking deadness or making plans to spring on me. by the second speaker id kind of worked out it must be dead - or stunned, so i did a five minute obs on it for the rest of the three hour meeting to make sure it hadnt been reincarnated. god i hate spiders.
ok this may sound silly but remember the story about the monster under the bed when u were a kid .. well to this day I still cant hang my hand over side of bed ... it freaks me out I am 37 yrs old I know there is no monster under there but it still affects me..lol
serious moth phobia.on a venture to the sunbeds years ago it was early evening and a big fat hairy one got stuck beneath my bod and the tubes...please imagine the rest because the noise i made and terror felt have not diminished over the years...suffice to say that i really love any tan that comes out of a bottle...
Im petrafied of hights, i know that is run of the mill but I cant even go two steps on a ladder with out freaking out. One time i was at a fair and my brother and sister beged me to go on the ferris wheel with them once before we left. (I was like 14) I said ok even though i hate them! It was ok, i was freaked and had my hands clenched but i was ok. Then it stopped very sharply, I was 3/4th of the way to the top. We sat there for a few min and noticed it wasnt moving at all. 30 min later the fire department shows up. The ferris wheel broke!! People were trying to fix it and there was a huge crowd. i couldnt take it anymore, I freaked. After about 2 hrs a huge Latter Fire Truck came and everyone on the ride had to climb off the ferris wheel. I thought i was going to die (or pee my pants) I did it though but when i got to the ground i ran to my dad and hugged him and passed out. The Doc said it was cuz the stress was so high that my addrenallin was pumping so hard that once i was safe i calmed down so fast that i passed out...needless to say i NEVER go on Ferris Wheels!!!
I'm dead scared of spiders and as much as I tell myself there is nothing to fear about them; they just simply creep me out totally!! The other day there was one in the bathroom and I had to get ready or else I would get late and I actually took half an hour to decide what to do!! I didn't want to kill so I decided that I would face my fear and take it on a piece of paper and place it outside but I was shacking to much that I couldn't hold the paper properly and thus couldn't reach it. So I foolishly decided to take the shower and spray some water around so that it gets scared and comes close enough for me to grab it on the paper but clumsy as I am the shower's pressure was way too much and before I could do anything I ended up drowning it! I did try to face my fear though but I haven't been able to be as brave as you yet!

If U have visited Africa and the Rain Forest Regions, U will know what i am talking about. I am so scare of them and the evil they are capable of pepertrating on human flesh. Once i stood in their midst unknowingly and got the ugliest episode of my life!!
With thousands of this tiny creature biting and sucking the blood out of me!!
I Screamed, kicked and yelled Iike a banshee!!
I later passed out!
Next time i see them and remember the ugly episode, I'd be scratching my whole body for no apparent reason!
i can't stand cotton wool which was quite a problem as i had to use them alot on my children when they were babies as they were alergic to baby wipes. still now thinking about it makes me shiver.
