What does morality mean? Can you give me some examples?

Answer:
..Cultural, social, community or religious norms of right and wrong behavior. Other related terms...good and evil.

Example - Consciously hurting others is considered morally wrong...e.g., stealing from them, assualting them, abusing them.
ever read a fairy tale and heard the saying "and the moral of the story is."

Well that's the beginning of the word morality... it means the lesson learned.

The word morality is often used by catholics and christians in pointing out flaws in others, but they never use the word right. they never speak of lessons learned they speak of my religion good, not my religion evil... that is why they come across as idiots when they claim that non christians can't possibly moral of character... they fail to see that lessons are more easily learned without a religion. so one moral of morality is that homosexual are people too and in a fair and just society it is best to not be prejudice... so the laws of the land must reflect what we have learned. it is not moral to make laws or build societies on prejudices alone...
sure, it has to do with "morals".
A moral is the right thing to do (in a situation). A good person can be said to "have morals" or to "do moral things". People get their morals from their religion, parents, friends, school, or a lesson that a person has learned in a book (as in "the moral/fable to the story", it could be like a parable or mini sermon that has results one needs to learn).

Morality is keeping the well-being of all. It is something u would Not do to ur self in mind & action & most especially to others that can cause so much pain, hurts, hate, fear & violence. Examples: Dont Judge Pple, Protect the weak, Support One Another, etc.
To understand morality you need to understand it's root word; Moral. To be moral one should know the difference between right and wrong. This difference will vary slightly from one community to another but there are some obvious basics. Many will attribute the basis of morals on the 10 Commandments. But in my opinion there are the basics, which many are certainly covered by the commandments. Don't...steal, lie, do harm unto others, commit any act that will promote selfish gain at the expense of another. These are just basics and they can be viewed subjectively from culture to culture and community to community but we know right from wrong. You don't necessarily have to be nice to be moral but i think you must be bluntly honest and respectful your fellow man to be TRULY moral.

I have great respect for many of the people on here and the answers they give because some, and one in particular (Jen from New York) because they aren't about to pull any punches and say it how it is all the while allowing for respect of how others believe but holding fast to what matters to them. That is morality in my opinion unfortunatly far too many get caught up in the drama and their own ruthless pursuits in the game of life and don't stop long enough to understand that if we just hold true to the basics there is room enough for everyone to co-exist.
