What does "sweet dreams" mean to you..?

i want some insight on what emotion and feelings are implied when someone asks for you to have them, and what those dreams are supposed to consist of

Answer:
For me it was something special I said to my fiance every night before bed...it was like an I love you. We broke up, and several years later I still have a hard time saying sweet dreams to anyone else
sweet dreams for me are to not have nightmares :)
It means sleeping 'til noon.
It mean your sub-mind is planning how to act on the subject.
to have nice dreams and no nightmares. to have dreams that give someone good, healthy emotions when they wake up, unlike bad dreams.
another way of saying "good night"
I've always thought that when someone tells you "sweet dreams", they hope you have a good night's rest and that you don't have any nightmares.

I'm not sure what it means for anyone else, or how they use it, but I always use it with someone I really care about. I don't throw it around, mainly because the people I don't like deserve to have nightmares. (Yes, I'm horrible.)

They should probably consist of something that makes the dreamer happy. Whatever it is, the phrase has always meant to sleep well and wake up refreshed to me.
It's a loving way of saying good night.
I think when someone tells you "sweet dreams" they are hoping you have and remember a positive dream state. If it is the last thing you hear before you hit the sack, the person who said this to you wants you to fall asleep gently and into dream state with good things on your mind. One can lucidly dream wonderful things if he/she thinks of them (sweet dreams) whilst falling asleep and wake up refreshed and feeling great.
sweet dreams are just a good saying.
