Someone asked if ppl can be born evil?

I think so. When one of my nieces was just a few months old (less than a year) I was holding hair and kissing her face and this evil rage came out of her. She started scratching my face in utter rage. Now that she's 14 she gets angry quick and lies all the time. When she was 13 she stole my brand new cell phone and had it for months. She would call me periodically and ask me if I had found it yet and tell me that she hopes I find it. She would even call and ask me to pick her up do her hair etc. All the time I had thought it was someone else who had stole my phone but it was her. Eventually the darkness came to the light and my phone was discovered in her room. Does this sound like ppl can be born evil.

Answer:
Because of different reasons, esp. if they pick it up from their parents, some people may be inclined to be evil. In other words, they take after them. But it all comes down to personal choices. I think most people know the difference between good and evil , and some make the wrong choices. Upbringing has a lot to do with it and friends you hang around with or things you do at home, TV shows & movies, internet, books, music, etc. If you believe in prayer, ask God to help your niece.
she probably seemed evil when she was little and she turned out to be evil when she got older... but no one is born evil bcuz god gives us all a free chance, he wldnt create us evil and then punish us for it...
Well as strange as it seems people are not predestined to be evil, but there is the possiblity that people are more suceptable to certain mental disorders or likely to have trouble condusing mental tedencies (anger, rage, or happiness). So maybe her parents or one of them have trouble controlling their anger and it may have passed herdiatarilly. Infants are born according to certain psychologist as having a blank slate or tabula rasa, and their development is directly affected by hte actions around them. Some other people chance later in life either in adolsence or in adult mental stages. Dramatic experiences can alter one's mental state permanantly.
I don't believe so, the young respond to their environment by instinct, so perhaps you have to look no further than there.
No, no one is born evil..She may have been raised like that, she gets the attitude if there are any influences, for example, her father and mother does something bad and fight for some reason.. Its how she was raised and also by her environment ..

Try to talk to her about her problems..Why she became like that, did that and something...

Understand her too, consider what her past was..
A self-fulfilling prophecy here?
Lots of little ones can have rage. And teenage girls??!

I notice there's not mention here about how her parents have been with her, or of the types of peers she's had during her life.
Whilst there may be an element of predisposition, the nurturance of the environment plays a pretty crucial role.
When mothers drink alcohol while pregnant, it causes serious damage to their baby and can cause behaviour problems!! We didn't realised this years ago, which is strange really 'cos the Romans used to ban both partners drinking for the first two months of marriage and that was like 2,000 years ago?!
No. we were all born with a clean slate, society and upbringing is what has happened.
we all born with good and bad tendencies. so that would suggest that we are all born with some type of evil. the bible says that we have to be born again". I agree you should pray for your niece.
What I have discovered is that we are all born with the ability for "good and evil."

Evil is a strong word...this is our animalistic ego traits that simply look after our material needs.

Good comes from our higher functioning that some would say is the presence of God within us our soul, personality, spirit etc. Here we have the ability to reason and control our egotistical needs

The higher functions need proper nurturing or else we will merely exhibit animal behaviour.

This comes from the people around us.
