Why do games cause a rush of fear?
vampire-rain on the xbox 360 is an example of this. i got spotted by one of the vampires, so it did that weird thing on the screen and the noise and i get a big arrrgh kinda adrenaline rush in my stomach/chest,
is it just the kinda fear impact the game has?
im not young btw, im nearly 18

The graphics, the audio and the overall intensity of the environment created by the game creators induces you into that virtual world so well that sometimes the brain is unable to quickly discern fantasy from reality.
its totally normal you get so in to the game that you get caught up in it.
