Why do people sometimes pee themselves when they get really scared?

Answer:
When people become nervous, their hearts beat faster. When their hearts beat faster, their blood circulates faster in their body, meaning that more blood gets filtered through their kidneys per unit time, (kidneys serve to filter blood with the help of salt and water). That means more water is generated from the kidneys per unit time. This means that if the person can't hold onto all the water generated by the kidneys, then, naturally, they would have to go.

Muscles may tighten when a person is nervous. But if a person's bladder is full, and more water is generated by the kidneys, the person's brain would subconsciously relax the necessary muscles to release the water so that the kidney is not damaged. The reason why you don't notice the muscles relaxing is most likely because it is occurring subconsciously. After all, a person's brain will do whatever it can to keep the person alive and healthy and accomplishes these tasks both consciously and subconsciously, in other words, whether you are aware or unaware of what's going on.
Adrenaline is produced right next to the kidneys, where urine is produced. I could be wrong.
They can't control it and they let it out, it scares the pee out of them, litertally.
its weird maybe drank soo much pepsi ??
it scares them really BAD!
I have never known anyone who has actually done that. Do you? I think it might be a myth. I have a masters in medical science and asked a professor about it once, and was told it really doesn't happen because when you're really scared your muscles tighten, including the sphincter that closes off urine flow. I've never had this happen to me, and have never heard of it happening to anyone else either. I think it's mostly myth.

I have wondered about that, ever try and pee in a pool. You need to relax. Now if you are scared how do you relax?
