Does the act of crying(for the one you love/loved)really helps you or it just makes you feel more miserable??
CAN you help me solve this dillema?I just can't discover it myself.I cry a lot and when I do,sometimes I feel better but sometimes I think it gets worse. Is it proved somewhere that it's helpful or...?
How do you feel afterwards?
Answer:
I don't know if there's proof about it, I can tell you that when I cry for someone it's because I need to let all those sad or angry feelings out of my system. I can't say I get better immediately but the next day I know I won't cry again because I already let it all out. Of course I can think about it again but crying more would be useless.
I lost my son, my only child, a month ago and am going to grief counseling...they have taught me to just let it out any time the grief hits you. If it's just a relationship, as in someone you've dated for a while, I wouldn't call it a great tragedy, especially if you're young, so crying a few times may totally get him/her out of your system. I wouldn't pine away and waste too much time over it...another bus comes along ever 10 minutes, if you know what I mean! (I am not trying to make light of a bad situation that is affecting you by any means.) But, for me, I know I will never get him out of my system and the grief will go on my whole lifetime so I'm not expecting any miracles...just day by day hoping and praying to suffer a little less grief each day. It would be interesting to know how old you are? These are just my own personal thoughts of 58 yrs. I hope this can help you in some small way.
crying help you expel negative emotions... sadness, regret and anger... after you expel these emotions you are to fill your mind with positive thoughts... like OK she/he's gone there's plenty of fish in the sea... or his/her loss not mine.. or I have all these qualities someone would love in a friend... it works only if you start building a positive new beginning if you just cry it comes back and says ready to fix me yet? that's how you benefit from crying.
i love crying. it makes me feel better all the time... even at first when i think it makes me feel worse, after about a hour, i feel better. i cry all the time too! my mom tells me im crazy and its bad for me cuz it could make me sick, but i dont care cuz i think she is crazy and should let me cry, but really, i think it is normal to cry all the time... so go ahead and cry, cry now... you will feel better... i feel like i am like refreshed after crying and crying.
