A "sole" is something that is attached to the bottom of your shoe. Spirit is distilled alcoholic liquor.
One´s on your foot and the others in a bottle. But seriously ,soul and spirit are pretty much interchangeable as both mean the animating principle.

sole is a fish , but soul and spirit are one in the same . except soul is in reference to ones conversation within themselves and spirit is more of a mutual assessment or agreement with other souls . the difference is in communication factors. soul;inward , spirit;outward .

Your spirit is how you feel inside such as a happy person who makes other people happy, It drives our ambitions,goals, etc. Our soul although similar, basically goes deeper into our selves, it helps us with moral issues regarding decisions ( right from wrong ) our humanity and how we treat others as well as social tolerance..I am not a theologian but I think that comes close to summing it up...
