How will u answer an interviewer if he asks you "tell me something about yourself?"?

Answer:
My name is XXXX, and I graduate with XXXXX (degree name), and I am particularly good in XXXXXXX (strengths). Most importantly, I believe I am definitely a suitable candidate whom you are looking for.
Its just a guess but I think I would tell him something about my self.
Job interview right? Don't go with the tired old "I'm a self-motivator" or any of its permutations. They get them all day, and even if genuine, it feels like you're getting smoke blown up your.

I always answered with whatever hobby has my interest at the time. "I am avid football fan. I like movie festivals. I collect the thumbs of hobos." ... ok, maybe skip the last one, but just fire off with a personal interest. Give a couple quick reasons why, and then wait for response or next question.
always a tricky question in an interview . Tell the interviwer what your interests are in a shorted form and make it brief and no tlong-winded. I think they are seeing how quick thinking you are.
Just tell him about yourself, of course should be positive things which will for some reason have a bearing on the interview.
I'm an HR (Human Resources) professional of 7 years and did a lot of interviewing of job applications. That kind of question is kind of standard! You should keep it rather short and direct the answer toward the job you are interviewing for. Touch on your educational background if relavant and then capatilize on your job experience (or internships of volunter work) as those experiences lend themselves to the job you are interested in. Remember, that kind of question does not mean that you start talking about all of your interests such as sports, or where you've lived, etc. etc. Be professional and to the point. By the way, you should practice with a friend or companion a good response to a good number of typical interview questions you may encounter. You can get those kinds of questions from the web or perhaps books in the library about interviewing for jobs. Your most important objective to get the offer-- and keep focused on the company and job -- not so much just yourself talking about yourself! Good luck!
I would answer the person's question respectively and honestly.
Niti,
I when ever opted for the interview this question is quite natural asked these days as the employees today don't treat there employees as mere employees but the superior subordinate relationship is not taken into consideration, mostly no sir and no madam attitude.

You should always be loyal in answering your questions and I do the same but in limits I don't tell the whole story but the genuine points about me and my family.

This happens because the bossee attitude has changed because as you see the people, they will act the same.
I'm beautiful?
look most of the people start telling about their educational and personal background and then they tell about their hobbies generally...but...but..u should answer about what u have achieved till now and what specific u have done and about ur qualities and strengths from examples which describes u...and yes also tell about what drives u for work personally and professionally as it gives a different impresion to that person.and tell about what r u looking for in the job??
I tend to be honest and tell him what a nerd I am, in a good way. The honesty is in the content, not the way I say it, being euphemistic and selective in the examples I choose.
The interviewer has already studied your resume by the time he cals you for an interview. So tell him something that is not in your CV like family background, why did you chse the career path, the turning pointd in your career. but keep it short and stop it as soon as you finid the interview is no more interested
i am a person who considers myself eligible for the post now i am seeking for!
just say" i am a wwf champion don't dare to reject me".
Yes you can say what ever you feel like to answer . There is no rules and regulation that you have to talk this and that. The quick answer you tell and out of that answer they pick up some questions and they go on ask question in the interview. You can even say that you are interested in love and you are loving somebody, you have four brothers and no sisters .you can say so many things That is all I know Yours VRVRAO
