What is the best way to overcome procrastination?
Answer:
Instead of looking at all you have to do and feeling overwhelmed, break down your goals into small, manageable pieces. For example, if you need to clean the entire house, set a goal to wash the dishes. Once a goal is completed, it increases your good feeling about yourself and you'll be more likely to move on to another step. Stop beating yourself up for what you haven't done. Good luck.
Just Do It!
Finish everything you start..tomorrow
I'll tell you tomorrow.
think about doing it now and having tomorrow free of even having to think about it
You know, I've been meaning to work on just that problem for a while now.
just quit doin tt
Do all your things to get it over w/
You are doing it right now!!
GO!
LOL!!
That's something you have to want to do. If there's enough motivation to get up and do, you'll do it
Get clarity. Clarity equals power.
Get clear on what you want to do, why you want to do it, and what will happen if you dont.
Procrastination is another form of fear. Fear of the unknown. Get clarity, and the task that you are procrastinating on won't be unknown anymore.
Taking action is a skill. Just start doing small things, and build up from there.
Balthasar Gracian #268: The wise do at once what the fool does later.
As the saying goes "Why put off 'till tomorrow that which you can do today?" It's a habit we get into because we are too lazy to do it now, really don't want to do it, or we are afraid of making a decision that will get something done. You really need to force yourself into the habit of doing things now. It's amazing how far behind you can get by letting things go until later. It's really a bad habit to be in or get into, most successful people don't allow themselves to do this.
go cold turkey: working on projects as soon as you learn of them
