If you really believe in GOW MATA as your mother then what is your relationship to a Bull, who are u Indian?
Answer:
You have taken things too literally. It does not mean that you are the child of a cow and a bull. According to Hindu culture, since the cow provides milk, it is the sustainer of life, so it is referred to as the mother. So, out of respect to the concept of motherhood, Hindus do not consume beef. Additionally, the Divine Mother is referred to as Gomata and the cow is considered to be the representation of the Divine Mother and hence the Hindus' reverence of the cow. Yes, times have changed and things are open to interpretation, but when you read a lot of philosophical stuff, you cannot help but be struck by some of the thought process. When you don't interpret things too literally, they seem to make more sense.
If u know that there alomost 5 crores hindus deva and devis , there is one considered to be the top most powerful of them and he is SHIVA , the creator, the destructor of the universe according to hindu mythology and one of his servant or helpers was a man named NANDI , now he could took the form of a cow whenever he wanted , also acc to hindu mythology cow is considered sacred as it gives milk which is very much reuired for growth of human body , its not meant literally that cow is considered as a mother so a bull must be considered as a father . Its just that ppl follow these things , personally i myself being hindu don't believe in all this as i know about the two E's which i think you don't know . Enlightment is not one of them ... keep thinking.
Good question..thousands of years ago, when we had no alternative the cows kept us alive til now. If we can't respect them anymore, then don't disrespect them. I eat beef but still I respect the hindu religion and the COWS!!
