If you fear something does that make it more likely to happen?
Answer:
I think it is more likely to make you notice that it happened...
definitely. i don't think psychics are ever accurate about anything until you consult one. once it's been put in your head, you always remember it. even if you don't realize you remember it. by remembering it, and subconsciously believing it will happen... it happens. the mind is a very powerful thing. i don't think people realize that. same reason all religions will lead you to heaven. it exists if you believe it. same with fears. when you fear something so much that you think about it more than anything else, it will happen much sooner and you will react to it much worse.
Fear can be a good thing, it's our early warning system. Our first response to fearing something should be the opportunity to assess if you are being illogical. You may fear crossing a busy street and you still have to do it to get where you are going. Odds are on you will be more careful right up until the day the drunk mows you down. Self-fulfilling, sure, the odds were also on the more often you crossed the road the better the chance a mowing could happen.
The above is logical. If your fear is that zombies will come out from under your bed to get you...you're on your own!
Yes indeed.
I think when we fear something we become too self conscious ,then we have loosen our self control and can't avoid happening things that we fear.
