yeah so i've been doing some anagram stuff but any other ideas? seriously i'm BORED.
another question. does a writing a novel exercise your brain. how about reading one? which one does more?

pick a new hobby, a musical instrument to learn. anything new.
No ideas? Check an encyclopedia under HOBBY or HOBBIES - they will have a long list of suggestions.
Coin collecting is cheap, if you start with pennies.
You could learn the game MAGIC or something similar. Role playing games stretch your mind and have you meet new people.
i think writing a novel is greater exercise for the brain.
But would you rather read one or write one?
Writing and revising what you write definitely exercises the brain more. and may make you more money than reading. However, to be a good writer one has to read a lot to stretch the mind enough to take on the endeavor of writing a book. Do both!

I haven't been on a vacation in two years,,,I work seven days a week...not one day is boring for me...
But , maybe you should try some outdoor activities as well..
Go to libraries, bookstores..museums...explore the nature...
Do somethings that you wou;dnt be doing in normal circumstances...Try waterskiing...etc.
take cooking lessons...Go fishing...Get a dog or cat.or fish...
