Can a psychologist diagnose their own neurosis?

Wondering if a psychologist can recognize their own emotional/psycological/persona... problems and if so or if not, how are they able to objectively deal with them?

Answer:
I do believe that this is a possibility, given their experience and education on the subject. But I also believe that a doctor, psy or med, that is good at his trade recognizes that his objectivity regarding self diagnosis is potentially compromised. For this reason most physicians do have their own doctors that they utilize for a second opinion. I guess that most times they receive positive confirmation of their own diagnosis/prognosis. But this scenario is not much different than a doctor treating their own family/loved ones without additional input. Not the recommended way to handle those situations.
A psychologist would most likely choose to go visit a Psychiatrist for help diagnosing and treating themself.
Sometimes. It is similar to the following question. "Can a doctor diagnose his own medical condition?"
maybe some of them.. like depression.. but I bet you never find one that can diagnose their own narcissism :p
Yes they can. Do they objectively look at themselves, some. I've met many, many. There are some that will never get better.
About neurosis I think they can. They could realise their neurotic behaviour for example by listening to what other think of them, or when they find someone that has the same neurosis but worsened, or when they regret something they did and reflect about it.
They have checklists for types of neurosis like the dsm book which they can use to easily determine if they have a neurosis or sth.
They could try to treat it, but It'd help them to see a colleague.
About they having a psicosis I don't think they could.
usually not, psychologists do see other psychologists alot of the time. because naturally their view of themselves is very biased.
No they cannot. It's like an attorney who defends himself in Court. (he has a fool for a client)
