Why are spiders so creepy? And why am I scared of them?

Im so scared of spiders. They are SO much smaller than us but i am SO DAMN scared of them. I can have a 'money spider on my hand and think nothing of it. Its the big hairy bastar.s that run fast and you can't catch that i hate. There was one in my bed this morning. It had long legs and a big yellow back. Is that a big yellow back full of babies or what?
What is this big yellow thing? We can stamp on them. Squish them with a shoe, but they really are scary beasties. I have a huge garden full of trees and a mass of webs with the biggest spiders you ever saw. I hate it. Will not sleep in a room with a spider in it.
the reason you are scared of them is because our ancestors were constantly bitten by poisonus spiders. and it stays with us. kinda weird, but thats a fact.
I bet there's a spider out there somewhere telling his mates that one minute he was just sitting in his web, chilling. When this girl he'd just met called Amber screamed at him and ran off before tripping over a sunlounger which fell on his web, destroying it.
What a nice timing. I was reading an ebook by the title "over coming your fear of Spider" and was thinking is it true people are afraid of spiders and I saw your question.
There was a time when I was afraid of spider but at that time spiders look too big to me maybe because I was small now grown up and spider look small to me or there are very big spiders too.

you might be scared of them because your parents,brother or sister had the same fear and passed that fear on to you
i have tried not to give my kids the fear that i have with them it has worked for my daughter but not for my son but he is only 3 and hopefully he will grow out of it
It's because they look so alien.
They have a binary symmetry, like humans, but that's where the similarity ends, They are exoskeletal, and have 8 extremities, 8 eyes, and are just in general alien to what we are used to seeing. They're appendages make for graceful, quick, but an alien type movement. They are trapper or pouncer like carnivores, which doesn't help their reputation.
Mankind has never really been comfortable with things that are alien, and spiders are one of the most alien on the planet.

i dont know, it is just a strange fear, i am terrified of slugs and snails, they just don't creep me out, i am literally terrified of them lol. we just have these strange fears.
Bugs are gross. Most people don't like bugs, especially when they invade your personal space. Its not abnormal to be scared of spiders. Don't worry. Just don't be afraid to get a broom and bug spray and get them out of there.
Do you think the same about spider-pig ?
The reason you are so scared of them is that, they are small creatures and they move very fast, but they don't cause any harm really.
