Is denial a self defense reaction of the brain?
Answer:
Yes I agree very very much.
I know I have done this in the past countless times. I have been willing to defend to remarkable extremes something I believed in was in some way superior (eg. My country, my city, my culture, my personality)
I think the natural tendancy for someone to be controlled by denial is like a plauge. I know at times in my life it has controlled me to such an extent I was willing to sacrifse so much to defend something that in the dead cold reality is superficial and minial.
As much as it can hurt and demorialize me now I avoid it as much as humanly possible but always find myself falling to this somewhat.
i agree with you but some people might just not realize that they lont the argument . And some people do just are in denial. you have some depp thoughts going through your head
It aint just a river in Egypt, that's for sure
Yes.
Most people will believe in what they WANT to believe in, even there are 20000 opposing argument.
But then you also realise that most of what the world is made up of is opinions, not facts.
How many of the theories that emcompass us are in reality that ideas of a person who was more capable of thinking out of the box ?? More willing to embrace something that wasn't within the scope of what was generally accepted ??
Seeing is believing, yet many times there's more that meets to the eye than the surface.
