How come some people are so selfish?

How come some people are so selfish? I've always wondered that. Some things I've noticed are no respect for other people, always wanting to look at themselves, and always wondering how their hair looks. I don't know how they're so selfish!

that is not really selfish, that is conceited.
because we, the beautiful people can do whatever we want
I think thats the world we live in. Some people if better about themselves if they have more than the next person. We're taught at a young age that's it all about "me" and get all you can.
For these type of people all they see is a ME WORLD!
It is all about them.
i don't really know. i've learned that everyone should take care of themselves unless a bad situation or a situation in need comes along. having your own opinion & letting other people deal with their problems only makes you and that person stronger.
