Reptilian parts of human brain?
Why do some people say some parts of the human brain are 'reptilian'. What makes them reptilian anyway?

I think they call it the limbic system,the "ancient" parts of our brains. Psychologists and neurophysiologists lump a number of these smaller neural masses together in what they call the "limbic system".The signals passed between the complex neural maps in this system produce what they call emotional states.
So our emotional core is just the savage reptilian part of our brain,what then are the new rational/calculative parts? the robotic brain? - it must be true I am very reptilian like,and would rather be a reptile than a robot.
