Collective phrases of fear?

Can words truly be harmful in depicting individuals within society?

Do they form idenitity or reflect it?

Are they necessary to define people and the world?

Is this more than one question?

Answer:
Yes words today can be that harmful. Unfortunately, preception is reality these days. Again they form identity. No one really gets to know anyone first. I suppose they are necessary. Most people are very proud of their nationality for example.
