Which is more important:actual experiences, or the memories that remain when the experience is over?

Answer:
Clearly, both are important---no experience, no memory.
However, while the experience lasts for a mere tick on our life's clock, the memories last a lifetime. This becomes increasingly important as we grow older. Trust me.
I guess memories is more important??
it depends...i have a certif of Achievement from the army that is in a frame...thats real...but my parents are dead so all those are just memories and pics
Both! How can you create the memories without the experience?
The memories, of course. They're all we have to indicate that the actual experience might have even occurred. While any given experience might be enjoyable as it occurs, it would be rendered meaningless the instant it ended if there were no memory of it.
I believe the answer becomes a matter of time. Time being, how long one may remember an actual experience. Much depends on how engrained that experience is into one memory.
Actual experiences when you are experiencing at the moment can be sometimes good and sometimes bad but the memories of experiences will make you think more about your actual experience and how you responded to it was correct or not.Sometimes experiences you did not like when it was happening you might like to remind them again because when you think about it again it is fun.It is up to you to decide memories or actual experiences are important
agree with devin here. the actual experiences are more important, or there would be nothing to remember. over time, the experience itself fades and you have only memories. but they're memories of an actual experience, not a fabricated one.

the memories might be more valuable because they last for much longer, but their presence is made possible only because of the actual experience.
with out the experience there is no memory.
memories tend to fade away.....
i think it is the memories because when you are going Thur it be bad or good you may not appreciate the experience. so when you look back at the memory you can see how it made your life the way it is.
I agree with Becky W! one can't happen with out the other.
Well, if you lived the experience, but don't have any memories of it, what good would it be?
BUT, if you have memories of something that wasn't a real "experience" (maybe you and your best friend sat around one afternoon and ate jelly beans and laughed your butts off about silly outrageous discussions about nothing) that might be one of the best memories of your friendship.
Ideally, you have a little (or a lot) of both aspects. ;0)
memories are more important, experience is more enjoyable
Which is more important to you is the correct answer.
Each experience is a fleeting moment in time while a memory is forever through ones life. With each experince comes a quality of the memory. In other words the quality of the memory is dependant on the experience.
Our memories are a gift, be it good or bad. We can not hide from our memories, though at times we all try.
