How is she psychotic?

Would telling her and encouraging her to go to some counseling help? Can one admit her in the psych ward? If so, how?

Here's what she does to this one person:

1..Whenever you guys fight she calls up your mom and apologizes even though they aren't close
2. she plays peeping tom even though she lives with you. For example:
a) she sees you in the kitchen so she stands at the door(with window) and watches you which scares the heck out of you. b) when you wait outside for a ride with your mom, she stands outside and just stares at you until you leave(which is up to an hour)
3. She treats you like a stupid retarded kid and thinks you sound like a little kid(which she is the only one that thinks this)
4. She runs off with the scissors thinking you'll kill yourself when you aren't even depressed or have that deep of issues, or think you'll kill yourself everytime you guys fight. When again you show no evidence of suicidal intent.

Answer:
not psychotic, or not yet.

but being a peeping tom is a crime. You can call the police.
and running off with the scissors is stealing. Only a misdemeanor, but still.

i don't think you can do anything about getting her admitted to a psych ward based on this.

on the other hand, being a peeping tom and stealing scissors might be enough to get whatever is your local equivalent of Children and Family services to do a psychiatric work-up. don't bet on that, though.

i think she is acting weird.
i don't think you need someone elce to explain this...whats the point? you obviously know what she does is uncomfortable, why are you putting up with it? (this should be the question!)

also, you cannot do anything really, but react emotionally or whatever. legally, she must pose a threat to herself or someone elce to do anything aganist her will (psych ward, forcing counseling) which the legal system does carefully. just saying shes doing creepy things won't do a thing...it's called hearsay.which means basically "gossip" and will not hold up in any legal system. these rules are made to protect peoples rights: just because someone says something does'nt make it true...it MUST be PROVED..and unless she is posing a danger, nothing can be done. she can choose to live like a crazy person if she wants (they are everywhere!) you cannot change her, you can only inform her how her behavior is maladaptive, which means her behavior does not serve a purpose.
She's psychotic because you believed she is so. She may haev some mental illness, but not necessarily psychotic. However, does she does such things to everyone consistently? Are there any moments where she does not behave like that?

Yes, it would be good if someone can get her to get some psychiatric help. If she has to be admitted into the psychiatric ward, then that's probably the best thing for her.
