The number is anywhere between 167 and 230 because test results will always vary (since the test isn't the same every time). Her first test was at the age of 10 by her school, which stated her IQ was 167+, and said her mental age was 17. Since then, she has scored higher and was added to Guinness in 1986.
However, keep in mind that Stephen Hawking doesn't believe in IQ tests so won't take one. I'm pretty sure he'd take the prize otherwise.

180+, that is the highest IQ for a child, I studied psychology AP and passed the Ap test I know when I tell you. There is a scale for measured IQ in which 100 is the average anywhere between 95-105 is average below 95 like 85- 95 that will be the lower average 105-110 is like high average then 110-125 is superior then 130-150 is gifted and then180+ is extreme giftednesss, kids that have an IQ of 180+ are normally antisocial and quite and rather do things by themselves but later suffer due to internal psychological problems since they normally do not have many friends. When you get an IQ lower than 20 like a kid recently posted you are considered profoundly retarded and need total care, the range for retardedness is from 20-50 however some kids that have mental retardation of an IQ of about55-65 may be stable enough to work in the future but will need alot of care growing up to support them with emotional problems. A kid with an IQ of 70- is considered borderline and dont truly show symptoms of mental retardation but do poorly on academic work. I am assuming that the smartest child IQ must have been higher than 180 but smaller than 200.

As a mother I was never concerned about my children's IQ.
I was concerned that they were nice and kind people.
Different IQ tests measure using differing scales and all have ceiling levels this makes IQ measurement an inexact science especially at the top end of the scale.
Therefore for academic, research and education purposes any child scoring 130 ish which is classed as gifted will be futher tested at ABOVE AGE LEVEL and a score in percentiles will be used to determine their level of giftedness, two years or above. Which previously would have ranged scores between 130---180.
So although Marilyn scored 224 in the gifted range when tested as a child if tested by todays standards her numerical score would now be between 130---180 as these tests have been standardise.
This coincides with a percentile ranking at the 98th or above approximate ratio of 1:30,000.
