I am looking for a story in which a relative had a feeling inside that they had another relative out there...?

...that they had never been told existed but had a feeling they did. For instance, twins separated at birth, having a gut feeling growing up that part of them was missing? Is there any type of study that has been done on this or anything?

I don't think there is a sudy on that. The closest you will probably get are the studies on the mental connections between twins. But I have experienced something like this personally...

I've always been an only child and had, for some reason, always questioned that fact. A couple of months ago, surprise surprise. I find out that I actually have an older half-brother on my father's side of the family. The sad part is that I'm probably never going to get to meet him as he's still somewhere in Europe and we haven't had contact with my dad's side of the family in years... Heh. Hope this helps a little at least.
