What are symptoms of nervous breakdown?
Answer:
as a psychiatrist once told me your nerves may stretch but they don't break. today it's called a psychotic break. it usually starts with a person withdrawing from everything they enjoy doing. they withdraw from family and friends. they cry and throw tantrums. they either don't sleep well or they sleep too much. they don't have much of an appetite. they sometimes self-medicate with alcohol and pills. they refuse to take care of themselves by not bathing or changing their dirty clothes. they feel worthless and start thinking of ways to kill themselves. long before they get to this point hopefully loved ones, friends and family members have gptten them committed to a psych ward for treatment of mental illness.
'Nervous Breakdown' isn't a medical term so there aren't any real definitions. It usually refers to a type of depression.
Asking total strangers about your mental health problems
From what I understand, if you think you are having a nervous breakdown, you probably aren't. Most likely it is an old wives tale. A nervous breakdown is generally an inability to cope. Furthermore, symptoms of a nervous breakdown may vary on an individual basis for each patient. Only your doctor can provide an adequate diagnosis of symptoms and whether they are indeed symptoms of a nervous breakdown.
My sister had one of these well basically its like something hits u all of a sudden everything is too much and u burst into tears (or anger or other things it varies between people) then u loose engery and just don't want to leave ur room or soemthing well if ur becoming tearful alot of the time over no reason ur prob heading for a nervous breakdown u need to cut urself some slack and take a break
Is it like anxiety attacks cuz if it is its just what you think is happening to you when it isnt try focusing on something around the room to take your mind off what your stressing about
everyone is different.. and what this mean is that you start to not act like your self.. some people see and hear things that are not there.. some think others are out to harm them. depression is the start. to be depress is to not be sleeping well and sleeping all the time not wanting to get out of bed not wanting to eat and some people can not stop eating..real high moods happy laughing and cant stop.. crying and sobbing for no reason.. not want to do the thing you like doing like reading, watching ,TV, sewing, woodworking, painting what every it is.. not wanting to do it..
I doubt you are having a nervous breakdown because you wouldn't be asking! I have these breakdowns every day of the week (living). If however, you are asking for someone else, then you would assume they are acting out of normal character.
the inability to focus ,,,well, on whatever matters, for lack of better terms.
lack of judgment, focus on one point and one point only, for to long.
dis regards for all that means everything to you,or whoever.if
