I need motivation help!!?
Ill try to make this short and sweet. Been unemployed for about 2mos. Not interested in going back out in the corporate world but know I have to because everything I would actualy enjoy doing does not pay enough. I am so not motvated to work in an office again, sitting at a computer talking on the phone all day. Therefore I cant even get myself to apply for these jobs. I actualy lie to my family and say"oh yeah, Ive sent about 5 resumes today". I need major motivation tips! Is anyone else on this boat?
Answer:
Hello Friend,
I have passed thru this phase of low-level motivation in my own life.In my twenties, I failed a colour perception test when I applied for a job as a technician in an electronics company, and was medically disqualified for the post.I had worked hard in acquiring a technical diploma to qualify for this job, and with this medical disqualification, I felt my whole world crashing around me.I thought it was the end of the road for me and even contemplated suicide. But, thanks to the support of my parents and siblings, I was motivated enough to change my career and I qualified by obtaining a Masters degree in commerce and became an accountant in a top company, starting at a junior level, and gradually rising up to be a Regional Accounts manager, heading four divisional offices under me.I retired and am peacefully settled in my life, enjoying my retired life with my sons, who are very well placed in life.
So, the moral of the story is that no matter how depressing the scenario today for you, please understand that" there is always light at the end of the dark tunnel", and the only medicine to cure your depression is "Hope","Perseverence" and "Hard Work".Start believing that you have it in you to achieve success and go out into the world with supreme confidence and you will end up conquering the world.Remember that "Quitters can never win, and Winners never quit".So decide whether you want to be a winner or a quitter and act with the self-belief and self-motivation , which is the best form of motivation you will ever find.Remember also the wise saying,"A journey of a thousand miles starts with one small step".So take that first step, go out and win the world.
All the best wishes,
Sivaraman.
The trick is to get a habit going whereas you get up every morning as if you were going to work and "work at" getting aplacement. Force yourself everyday to do this until the habit is formed and you may well start to get some self esteem built up. Be a little proud and have confidence you will find a placement of your liking. THink positive and positve things happen. Trust me.
not working you don't get paid. so why not do something you love for a little less money? You never know, you could turn that not so great paying job that you love into a business of your own that will enhance your life beyond your wildest imagination.
This is what I did. I got layed off. Took jobs that I hated.
I love kids, so I started keeping two infants in my home for a friend. Now I am working on getting licensed to open up a home day care.
So. do what you love
Just stay focused and committed to growth and you'll be on your way to finding the perfect career for you self!
You have failed to know yourself. Try to understand yourself. What do you want? Money? Position? Enjoyment? Comfort? Do your deserve it? if so how much? What are your capabilities? If there were no support how will you survive?
I think you are being supported by your family and so you opt to remain irresponsible.
If you know what your capabilities are, and if you can find out what others of your qualification , experience and expertise do and that you know that you have to live like a responsible person, You will lose your lethargy and start off. Laziness , negativism, pessimism, etc are qualities of cowards. You cannot be a coward. Come what may, have the satisfaction of your being self supporting and know that you should do things for your own good. Develop Self Esteem. Do not become or remain depended on others. Stand up . Earn what is possible by you and learn to live with it. Even if you have to starve, there is pride in it. Come on fellow, you can do it. Do not lose heart. There is along way to go.
Well i guess this all depends on where you live, and what kind of jobs are available. If you don't want to sit behind a desk, and you don't mind getting your hands dirty, then try Oil Rigs (that is if its an option where your at), construction. Some of those pay high. Manual labor but it can be good money and with those jobs who needs to hit a gym.
