i think you maybe talking about agoraphobia. and the best way to deal with it is to desensitze yourself to your surroundings and allow your self to take tiny steps outside, until you can make the big step and leave the house.
thats anxiety, just take like pills or something for it
If there is not a diagnosed chemical imbalance based on physiological issues, the condition results from beliefs. Beliefs can be changed because they are based on reversible decisions we have made. There is a theory called ichinen sanzen propounded by the great teacher Tien Tai in China in thee 6th century. It can be complex to understand but the upshot is that the environment is determined by the belief system. I grew up with PTSD from WWII and later experiences and turned poison to medicine through learning about the philosophy expounded by sgi-usa.org.
Sometimes we are afraid, sometimes this “spirit of fear” overcomes us, and to overcome this fear we need to trust in and love God completely. It says in 1 John 4:18, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” However, no one is perfect, and God knows this. So He has liberally sprinkled encouragement against fear throughout the Bible. Beginning in the Book of Genesis and continuing throughout the Book of Revelations God tells us to “Fear not.”
For example it says in Isaiah 41:10, “Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” And again in Daniel 10:12, “Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.” And in the New Testament Jesus says, Mat 10:31, “Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.” Just these few verses cover many different types of fear. God tells us not to be afraid of being alone, not to be afraid of being too weak, not to be afraid of not being heard, and not to be afraid for our physical necessities. And these “fear not” admonishments continue throughout the Bible covering the many different aspects of the “spirit of fear.”
However, these “fear nots” are dependent upon our ability to put our trust and faith in the Lord. In Psalm 56:11 the psalmist writes, “In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.” This is an awesome testimony to the power of trusting in God. What the psalmist is saying is that regardless of what happens, he will trust in God. This is the key to overcoming fear - total and complete trust in God.
It is a refusal to give into fear. It is a turning to God even in the darkest times and trusting in God to make things right. This trust comes from knowing God and knowing that He is a good God who only wants to give His children good things. It is as Job said when he was experiencing some of the most difficult trials recorded in the Bible, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him (Job 13:15).”
Once you have learned to put your trust in God you will no longer be afraid of the things that come against you. You will be like the psalmist and, “…let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee" (Psalm 5:11).
Sorry it took so long, I had check my med books. There are two dealing with crowds, demophobia and ochlophobia. The fear of open spaces agoraphobia.
The strangest I have found are gynophobia and peccatiphobia, check them out. A strange thing just happened when I checked the spelling the computer wanted to change the words.
Well, here is my honest opinion about what will help this condition...
Do something small every day to take a step into the real world. Go do something a little out of your comfort zone. (For example, I used to be afraid to deal with people. I started by doing something small [which was a big deal for me] like calling a store on the phone to ask if something was in stock.) As you continue to do this, you will get more and more confident. (I am not afraid to call stores anymore. LOL)
I think that sometimes when we are afraid of going into the real world, we are afraid of what people think of us or that we are going to make a fool out of ourselves. (At least that is my understanding...) If you feel this way, there is no reason to. Remind yourself that God loves you. People will always have their criticisms of us, but that doesn't matter. Something I realized is that even if I am perfect, there are still some people who will not approve. It doesn't matter who approves of you or who doesn't, because the Bible says that God loves and accepts you.
I would not recommend going on medication, if that is possible. I think it would be much better to learn to overcome this than to get addicted to medication which has side effects.
Pin down the reason you feel this way, then look in the Bible to see what God has to say. For example, God says not to fear because He is with you. And He will never leave you or forsake you.
One more thing: do not think you are alone. There are many people who have this problem. I think it is important to know that there are many other people who go through the same thing. (Including yours truly who is learning to be confident with God's help!)
I hope this helps. You can do it!
The condition is called agoraphobia. It has to be treated professionally. Coop. Stop letting your mind rule you. There are things you can do to stop the madness.
Agoraphobia and something else I think. You must talk to your Doctor and also see therapist to talk about your fears and they can help you find ways to deal with them. Also would recommend trying out Emotional Freedom Technique.

It's known as being too scared to face the real world and will get you absolutely nowhere. Get yourself out more - we know you DO go out - how else would you have been able to tell us about the mile-and-a-half-long road in Manchester lined by empty houses with dark gardens, so whatever this condition is called, you haven't got it.
the world if not encountered is of course scary.. Dipping yourself in unfamiliar depths really is very awkward and dreadful. But why not try to step on it for once and try to taste what is like. For sure there are pros and cons. All things have both good and bad sides- and the world is the perfect example. Just don't expect anything. Just go out and explore.
Agoraphobia- Agora I believe is a greek marketplace & phobia means fear.
Rarely does it go away on its own, caught early the outcome is more favorable.
Severe or progressed conditions require intensive psychiatric treatment.
