How can i stop being so anxious for trivial things?

When something goes wrong, i keep tormenting myself that it's my fault, i feel humiliated etc. And it goes on and on. I know it's bad but i can't stop being so anxious! What can i do to stop this?

Answer:
There are things you can do for the meantime and things for the long term.

For starters, take a deep breath and count to 4. Relaxed now? Good. Apathy works best, just stop caring about those little things so much.

Long term, you need to find out the root of your anxiety. Feeling guilty/humiliated are nothing more than symptoms, not the cause. For that, you need counseling. Talk to your family doctor about this anxiety. They may be able to recommend a counselor as well as prescribe anti-anxiety drugs, if you feel that would be needed.

Good Luck =)
I am a firm believer in the fact that we can control things like this ourselves.

Being logical is the key. Was that problem your fault? No.
Is that your problem? No.
Should you concern yourself with that? No.

Think about it, use your brain. Assign value to it and use logic to solve it.
