Can you help me think of a good idea for a psych project? I have to break a culture norm but still be legal?
Answer:
Cannibalism
bring a woopi cushion with you or a fart sound noise maker and see how people react. You could do that almost anywhere.
Get a strong magnet, and put it in a cup from a fast food restaurant. The put the cup on top of your car and ride down the highway going 80mph with the cup attached to the roof of your car. It's not really breaking a cultural norm, but it's funny as hell to see people in other cars trying to warn you that your cup is about to fall off.
The movie "Borat" gives some nice ideas, especially in the early part where he is overly friendly (by North American standards) to New Yorkers. Try wearing a burka (the head to toe covering that Arabic women wear in some countries); it might be interesting to see what reactions you get.
how about temporarily dying your hair like blue or green, even shoot for the gut shot, make it obviuos that you are reading a book anti-christianity.that'll turn a few heads
I had to do this once for a psychology project, I did two things. First I went to the grocery store and barked at Fred while standing in line( the little green leprechaun that sits on my shoulder) and then I went right out front and put a quarter in the mechanical horse and rode it like it was a bull at a bar. I mean full out hands in the air, yelling yee hah the whole nine yards. Believe me you'll get enough for a paper and then some and you won't be arrested in the process. Although be on the look out for netcare!
Report your instructor. I don't believe bongs are legal. He/she is trying to get kids to come to class in bathing suits
(why don't they have you write your idea and turn it in?). He/she
wants you to "feel" deviant behavior? Just my opinion.
You can not shower for a month and smell like crap. Dont shave your legs or your arm pits.
go to a busy restraunt and after you get your table, grab your fork and walk over to someone else's and start eating off of their plate.
